The headline and the premise for the story are a bit overblown, to be sure. When Notre Dame reclaims a poll ranking in the top 10, we'll see a resurgence of praise for, and enmity toward, Weis.

How can you hate them(ND) or Weiss?

I'll take the first part, as I have nothing but respect for Weiss, as to ND, I would say: old habits die hard.

I grew up not liking ND, never did, never will.

I will say this though, their fans are amongst the best.
