I agree about the military (although I’m very sorry you’re poorly!). No matter why a person enters the service, ultimately he or she is there to fight our country’s enemies. If they’re not well to start with, there’s less change they’ll be ready when it’s necessary to fight, or engage in hard labor in support of fighting men.

Which is exactly why they only accept men and women who are healthy to begin with. Boot Camp uncovers a lot of physical and mental problems that would not be spotted in a non-military environment.

Our men and women on the ground in Iraq and other desert countries not only have to endure the heat,(115-125) but they have to wear body armor and carry heavy equipment while they endure it. GOTTA be healthy for that!
