They eat leaves. The book she got from the library said she might catch one if she goes out in the woods at night with a flashlight. She also hopes to find crawfish. One or the other could live in the erstwhile hermit crab container.
Ah. I don’t think we have any of those in this area. When I was a kid, we were lucky to see a praying mantis.
