I went down and looked at it yesterday. The crash bar is scraped and twisted, the throttle controls are trashed, a couple lights hanging off, various scrapes and scratches. Could be worse, I was barely moving when I clipped my husband's saddlebag with my engine guard and got thrown onto the shoulder of the road. That stretch of road has a nice, wide, grassy shoulder. Only my right leg appears to have hit asphalt, the rest of me tumbled on grass.

My helmet has a beautiful gash from where I slid under the guard rail.

My friend dumped his bike 10 years ago. He got clipped at an intersection, while he was waiting for the light to change in the left turn lane. He is just now trying to get the bike fixed. It’s mostly cosmetic, but it’s still spendy.

I’m glad the helmet has the gash and not your head! Helmets can be replaced: Sandy can’t!! {{{Sandy}}}
