Yah...exactly...
Not sure what’s going on around here, but it’s getting weird ...
If we have chocolate on the rugs, won’t we get ants?
Ants? Don’t we have a Snuffleupagus to take care of that?
I don’t know. I think I saw an Echidna once, but I don’t know how many ants they can eat.
Dragons are said to like ants, in the wild, but ours are too lazy. They just sit under the heat lamp, waiting for crickets to fall from the sky.
Well, they could always wait until the queens fly....
LOL! That would be quite a sight!
Great... and I’m hungry to boot...
That girl needth help.
“Why did you yell fire when you fell into a vat of chocolate?” - Tommy Smothers...
I noticed the vat wasn’t TOO deep.
It also appeared as if the temperature was about right...
;o]
So I’m told!
So how are all the Chicklets today?
(I’ve been preoccupied all day, so I apologize for being so inattentive.)
I didn’t know that making chocolate was like making wine.
Or maybe even better.
Better. It feels better on the outside than wine does on the inside.
I’ve been away quite a bit today, too. Everybody’s fine here. This time tomorrow, Anoreth should be enrolled for college! We just have to take some papers over there to prove she’s a county resident, and the checkbook to pay for it all.
Bill and Tom have been working on some Boy Scouts badges. Bill’s going to make up a slide show of reptile pictures this evening, and Tom has to identify different species by sight. After that, to finish “Reptile and Amphibian Study,” Tom has to give a presentation about reptiles and amphibians. I’m going to send an e-mail out to our homeschool group and invite kids over to see our herpets.
I know that I should know the punchline. That I don't could be a bad sign.
I promise I won’t tell.
Tom must be braver than I am, cause I never liked giving presentations or speeches, evn on topics I knew a lot about.
evn= even
It could be.
The punch line was something like “Because I knew no one would come running if I yelled CHOCOLATE!”
(He clearly didn’t know us)...
I really want to go to bed, as I’ve been up since a little after 4:00, but I have to wait for UPS to pick up a couple of packages and get them off to my son.
He’s starting out (again) with nothing, and I found a bunch of kitchen stuff (free) that will get him through until he can buy something better.
He still needs cookware and place settings, but I think he can get that at yard sales without a lot of trouble or money. He got a 17 cu.ft. fridge for $50 because he was in the right place at the right time.
He also got a fabric “suede” sofa and loveseat that someone had put on the curb. It was almost new but the previous owner said the recliner in the sofa didn’t work. My son said, “That’s OK. I’ll deal with it.” He didn’t bother to tell the guy that in a former life, he made furniture repairs, assembly and alterations for department stores here in the Valley!
Anyway, it matches the paint scheme he has! He said he also found the perfect wall clock a couple of weeks ago, but was out of his budget at $50. He went back to look, and it had been marked down to $20.
All he needs now is for Home Depot to get the carpet laid!
