That could be fun two or three times :-). I’ll get another next time we’re at the library.

If they have Cordelia's Honor, by Lois McMasters Bujold, you might try that out (science fiction, suitable for boys), and Vision of Light, by Judith Merkle Riley (historical fiction, not really a boy book).

Thanks, I’ll keep an eye out for both of those.

Bye all. If I can get the household ready, we’re off on vacation.

I knew I had a book here that Bill would like. I had to hunt the durn thing down, though!
“Escape From Earth ~ New Adventures In Space” Short sci-fi stories about teens. There are seven stories, but I’m hard-pressed to pick a favorite.
Some of them put me in mind of The Last Starfighter. All are good, though. No sex, hardly any recognizable cussing.... Good fun stories.

Thanks! It’s raining again here. I had Anoreth take Tom and the little girls to the pool this afternoon.

I can’t help but wish the pool was about two miles closer to here....
I was out in the stuff for three hours this morning, and I was NOT a happy camper. The “new” doctor I had decided he knew more about me than I did, and that set the tone for the rest of the morning. *blech*
Anyway, I’m not out in it,and I’m getting ready to fix myself something good to eat...grilled veggies and a hugh hamburger patty! Maybe with chee! And a glass of wine!

Sounds wonderful. We’re going to church for Spanish choir practice - we’ve outgrown our house :-).

I've been occupied today with knitting the plot elements of something that could be stretched to fit these definitions. Sort of a "juvenile", if you will. I'd have to get started on it soon, or the kid would be grown before I finished.
Tentative working title, "Welcome Home for Prometheus".

What is this: SUMMER?
Where is everyone? Which Habitat are y’all hiding out in? I thought maybe some of you would be in the moat, but darned if I can find anyone.
Ohno. Don’t tell me... The Dwarves are loose in the Lower Levels again because it’s mating season, right? *shudder* Someone needs to get the Dust Bunnies out in force....
We can’t have this kind of chaos!

Will this be a slightly diverted book? I mean, not your usual genre?
Biggest query: Will I LIKE it?

The drums! Why didn’t I think of that?

Hard to tell. At the moment it seems a bit short.
Hint: What does carrying a sword have to do with space exploration?
