I am honored!

We just went and saw Wall-E. Funny, funny movie! The audience applauded at the end. If you go, be sure to stay for at least the beginning of the credits.

Calm now, but probably going to storm again. If it does tomorrow, I will be rather POd.

I won’t go to the movie. I’m already planning to buy the DVD when it comes out. I usually buy alll the Pixilated movies. A few, I have no interest in, but for the most part, I like them.

They’re usually released within six months of the movie, nowadays. Not like, “way back when” when the movie makers were so afraid to let consumers have the movies until they’d gotten every conceivable dime out of showing them.

We're looking at showers. I don't remember that ever happening on the 4th (we're in the dry time of the year), but at least it won't be too warm and with the rain we've had I don't have to worry about living in the woods.

May play heck with the fireworks... but I'm not usually up that late. (It stays light pretty late this far north.)

Here too. I don’t remember the last time it rained on the fireworks but I hope it doesn’t start.

We don't go to the movies often, most years once or twice, but recently they've been putting out more we would go see,

The reviewers all seemed to like this one, but I think the worst criticisms (which were mild) were a bit too harsh. They sneaked in one or more funny parodies of scenes from other movies, but missed (or deliberately avoided?) one.

Well, if you’ve been getting rain I would guess your fire danger is reduced.

Yahoo! I've been struggling to get pictures into Photobucket ever since they changed something (their Javascript?) into something that doesn't work under Firefox/Kubuntu (or Konquerer/Kubuntu). Just found a different way to upload photos.

Now if I could just remember what I wanted to upload...

Anoreth and Bill liked “Hancock.” The chicken enchiladas were good. No rain.

“Hancock”... Been really dubious about that one from the previews. Potentially funny but don’t like the attitude portrayed.

Too grumpy? :-)

He was from around here, over east a bit in Marshville. A significant percentage of the local population here are Helms.

Yahbut...to me, he was the very worst of the South. I have family that fought on both sides of the Civil War, and when Helms got on his soap box, I couldn’t watch. He was an embarrassment.

But that’s just me. I’m sure lots of other people thought he was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Only God knows what he was for sure, so I need to shet mah mouf!

In other news...: My son called last night to tell me how happy he is with his new house, and that he is doing samdunks bedroom in Spidey!!

And he's doing “my” room in “Western” theme complete with knotty pine headboard for the bed, and cactus/coyotes for wall border. I have no clue what he's going to put on the floor, but I told him there needs to be at LEAST one frog in there!

People have different reactions to other people ... and we’ll leave it at that. Anyhoo, he’s dead and you’re not.

I went over to church for an hour, and when I came back, I found the family had cut up a watermelon, apparently with a chainsaw, and the kitchen was covered in red sticky-ick. Took me over an hour to clean up, and I couldn’t listen to “Cycles of American Political Thought” because I was running the vacuum and the mop machine.

Differences in people are what makes the world go around. Think how dull it would be if we didn’t have trolls and/or Dems... ;o]

Oh, ick! Not a very happy July 4th for you, huh? Sheesh!
I finally got off my backside and did a couple of errands I didn’t feel like doing yesterday. I waited too long. It was too hot and there were far too many people.

The stores I shop in (Wal-Mart and Smith’s Grocery) are RIGHT ON the way to Lake Mead, so we had a lot of tourists contributing to the local economy. I heard “Strain” and Deutsch while I was in line, so of course, I wondered if they were tourists or transplants.

Are you doing a cookout thingy? I don’t recall if you mentioned it.
