This is a smallish museum, dedicated to military and civilian aircraft used in North and South Carolina. They pick up some retired planes from local military bases and airlines. Nice folks.

The desert outside Tucson (Marana) is s good place to store the planes because of the climate. Less rust.

There is a fairly large air park/museum in Tucson, and it would take two full days to see it all. It’s outside Davis-Monthan AFB, so it is “handy” and well cared for.

The base has a little “air park” of its own, with quite a few fighters from WWII and on. That’s a nice place, with shade and benches and even a drinking fountain.

Well, it’s my naptime. Wednesday isn’t here with the guitar cases, so I expect she’s upstairs waiting for me to arrive.

Had nap with Wednesday. She seems to have scratched or bit me while I was asleep, but I’m sure she was just trying to be affectionate.

Then I get my rentals arranged for the church festival, one less job to do Monday.

I found a blue-tailed skink when I went to get some parsley for the dragons.

I’m a light sleeper, so whenever the catz move, I’m awake. Not much chance for biting or scratching.

Blue-tailed skink? In the produce department???

In the front flower beds, where I grow parsley :-). Last week we brought in several caterpillars, which have now made coocoons.

Butterflies - Tom thinks they will be black swallowtails. Parsley is their favorite.

Ohwow. Kewl!

We had a cocoon in the second grade, and it was fun to watch it. It was captured as a caterpiller, put in a jar with a twig big enough to support it, and we got to watch the whole thing. It was hard for little minds to wait...

It takes up to two weeks for them to emerge. I keep them on the kitchen counter, so we’ll be there when they come out.
