Yep, although I haven't lived in a house with a bathtub for 15 years, so I forgot what sitting in one feels like.

There IS no carpet in the library. Hardwood floors and fur throws. Big pillows and soft furniture. No carpet.

I don’t ever use the bathtub, unless I’m washing the baby. Can’t remember the last time. That’s why we got the basic fiberglass tub-shower when we had the house built, instead of paying for a “garden tub.” If I want to bathe in the garden, I can sit in the baby pool!

Wellden. I’m glad I rigged the Dumbwaiter to fetch the champagne and a new ice bucket when the cork on one bottle is popped.

*um* You can have my share of the eggplant. I’ll stick with the fruit, cheese, chocolate and champagne. ;o])

Also, make sure the towels for the bathtub are the extra large size.

We don’t want any more embarrassing communication faux pas.

Compared to having a baby in a military hospital, that was nothing. Actually, it was nothing compared to having a really bad rash in a military hospital, it was nothing. The entire dermatology department at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center had a good look at me in 1991, and observed, “We’ve never seen anything like your arms and legs. That was GROSS!”

Maybe it was the rash. I just went out to buy a Pepsi, now I am back.

The rash really was gross. I had it everywhere but my face and the soles of my feet; they were afraid I’d get gangrene.

The last time I had a rash, I think it was a reaction to some chemical in a new article of clothing. Now, I’m especially careful to make sure everything gets laundered first.

I guess I missed out on the exhibitionism opportunity though.

Hmm.

Maybe that get-together in Vegas next year that I’ve been thinking about.

Good morning, Undead! I am 60% relieved and 40% disappointed to inform y’all that we are NOT expecting a new Chickadee next spring. Just getting old, I guess. Thank you all for supporting me during my brief panic :-).

Spider Robinson’s word, antinomy.

an·tin·o·my (n-tn-m)
n. pl. an·tin·o·mies
1. Contradiction or opposition, especially between two laws or rules.
2. A contradiction between principles or conclusions that seem equally necessary and reasonable; a paradox.

Somehow, he contrived to make an entire book about it, attempting to convey the sense of anomie in having antithetical choices. But the poet Frost expressed it more succinctly:

“TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth; ...”

One of the roads would have run into the fact that we gave away our baby carseat and my Angry Eggplant maternity dress a year ago :-). Not that those issues couldn’t have been dealt with ...
