You have to look at their motives. Extorted money or mental disability is behind it in most cases. With Gore it is hard to be sure which is which. But if I were a betting man with Gore it's the money. He is making alot of money from this scam. They used to tar and feather snake oil peddlers for this. Now they give them awards.
