I realize many counties hate us due to our corrupt lib media telling lies around the world how awful we are, but the USA has always helped in natural disasters more than any other country..........so is it too much to ask for some in return?
I know this is a stupid non-issue with alot of people, but it bugs me that we have not heard of ANY support from any other country.
Reminds me of an old song by the Kinks, “Help Me Now I’m Falling.” -—
I remember
When you were down
And you needed a helping hand
I came to feed you
But now that I need you
You wont give me a second glance
Now Im calling on citizens from all over the world
This is captain America calling
I bailed you out when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now Im falling
Help me now Im calling you
Catch me now Im falling
Im in your hands, its up to you
Catch me now, Im falling
I remember
When you were down
You would always come running to me
I never denied you
And I would guide you through your difficulties
Now Im calling on citizens from all over the world
This is captain America calling
I built you up when you were down on your knees
So will you catch me now Im falling
Help me now Im calling you
Catch me now Im falling...”
It don’t matter, Bubba. We’ll get by just fine without them, and we’ll still be there for them when they need our help because that’s just the way we are. We’re Americans. Nobody could do more. We could do no less.
Canada routinely stands with us and to some extent, so does Mexico.
The Iranian hostages, 9/11 and Katrina come to mind.
Carolyn
and the question is....
...did george bush cause the flooding?
Why have state and local governments from the flooded areas ignored this problem until now when it’s too late?
Mexico has sent many people in advance of this event, so they would be prepared to assist.
They understand as we do that we are in the best shape and position to take care of ourselves. We never ask for help.
I realize the Midwest flooding is bad and I am NOT minimizing it, but are you really comparing it to a tidal wave (or hurricane or earthquake) that kills tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of people and leaves millions homeless and starving in countries without the resources or the competent aid agencies to do anything about it?
Many, many countries DID offer help after Katrina. And there are in fact many, many lesser disasters in foreign countries that the U.S. doesn’t send aid for.
"Ops, Sorry! I thought this was New Orleans. "
This would not happen if George Bush would sign damn Kyoto. I think he caused the flood in the Bible. I know it is there somewhere.
Has anybody spotted Lootie down there?
Here is Gordon Sinclair’s fine piece on the Americans. All the people in the flooding have our prayers and best wishes.

Isn’t there some kind of EPA rule that says if things are wet for more than 10 days in a year it is automatically declared “wetlands”?
Does this mean we need to evacuate the entire midwest so we can prserve this great national treasure... ie our “wetlands”?
