When I click on there properties, each one shows minimum of 1MB. Is that big?
and if you do have a wav file and need to convert it to mp3 there are programs like (free) Shuang’s WAV to Mp3
converter
I'm going to have to read up on just what that is and if it can be converted.
I find the selection of music is one of the most important aspects of an effective photo show, especially personalized ones like what youre talking about.
I agree. And that song is perfect for what I want to do.
If the photos run too long, I have another song I want to add, "Turn Around" by The Kingston Trio. However that song won't be appropriate for my two sons. I'll find something specifically written for sons as their second song.
I'm also in the process of converting our family VHS home movies to DVD so I can give them each a copy. It will save trouble after hubby and I have gone to meet our maker.
Let me know if you need some tutoring getting through your first slide show.
Thank you very much.
Thank you. I'm going to check into that now.
An alternative solution which will work very nicely to resolve your problem requires 2 computers and has extra benefits. What I like to do is use one computer as a player and one as a recorder. I link the computers by connecting the audio out (maybe analog or digital) to the audio in on the recorder computer. I use an Audio Editer called Audacity on the recorder computer (Audacity is freeware) and allows you to make multitrack recordings if you like. It also allows you to tweak your recordings with tons of filters and all kinds of good stuff. You can save in .mpg, .wav, or ogg-vorbis. You can do this with any music you find on the net. You then have sound clips which can easily be added to your production. Using this method, a minimum of artifacts are introduced. Sound quality reflects the quality of the original source material. If you have two computers you can do this without any additional expense. Personally, I like this solution best because you can record any source audio this way, regardless of the original materials format. Hope this helps.
She did. She's my niece. Still a bit cranky at times at 4yo, but she'll grow out of it.
Each one shows minimum of 1MB. Is that big?
Not particularly big no. I know there are some online slideshow generators that will handle files that are around 1mb each but those links are on my other computer.
I still think you just had a bad audio file with Impressions.
One of the things that Nero does that is very helpful for the timing and coordinating with the length of your background music: you can change the display time of each slide or you can change the display time for all of the slides (from this slide to the last). You can see how that works with your music and then decide which slides to linger on and which ones to speed up. If/when your music changes pace, you can slow-down or speed up your displays which works nicely, I think.
I'll check on conversion utilities now, see what I can fins.
I have hundreds of song that could be imported to the slide show, just not the one I want.
I like the way Nero sounds. It’s just how I want to make it. I want the pictures curling back with the rhythm of the music.
Googling “convert real audio to wav” produces a lot of results, pick the one that best fits you.
Nero has a great variety of “wipes” and transitions — it has some “themes” that work pretty nicely and then you can override each slide transition as you wish. I’d guess that it has maybe 40-50 different transitions that you can choose from and repeat or change as you think appropriate (or select a theme and let the theme determine the appropriate transitions). The “curling” back with the music would be “page turn” or “swirl” according to Nero’s terminology. For a fast-paced slide show, you’ll want simpler and faster “wipes”/transitions. The wipes/transitions are categorized so you can get a variety in your slide show — or you can specify “same transition” for every slide (although that gets boring). Good luck!
Does it ever. I'm going blind reading so many of them. I'll latch on to one when it feels right to me.
The most straightforward way is to use Real Player itself, if the RA or RM file is already on your hard drive.
Just open Real Player and choose Tools>CD>CD Burner and create an MP3 CD from your saved RM files. Then, you can copy these MP3 files from the CD back to your hard drive, no problemo.
Now, use your favorite flavor of montage maker or movie maker software and create away. I’m ashamed to say, I prefer MS MovieMaker, as it is way simple, just like me. :)
I can watch the video over and over so it must be on my hard drive. I just followed your instructions and it says that the audio CD burner is only available through their pay for, "super pass upgrade." I have the free version of RP.
Are we talking a video or a song? I’m confused. LOL
Anyway, go to C:\Documents and Settings\(your_user_name)\Local Settings\Temp, and look for the song or video. If it’s there, copy it and save under a different name in your My Documents>My Music or ???
In either case, I can convert for you if you email it to me. Friday night I’ll have time to do it, or you can download a free trial of conversion software.
If you have a Linux box, you can convert it with FFMPEG or LAME.
