Bombing Iran will make sense ONLY if we bomb them back into the stone age. A-bombing Japan wreaked massive death and destruction and they surrendered. Our big mistake in Iraq was NOT breaking the population’s morale so they would not resist control. If you want war to win you must destroy lives and property. Case in point: Germany in WWII, so demoralised there was no resistance to US troops. On the other hand, if that sounds too harsh, one shouldn’t fight ANY wars. It’s really a case of “either-or”. We tried a “limited” war in Viet Nam and all that did was kill our troops and make us give up. (Thanks, LBJ, you scum.)
Absolutely 100% correct.
Great post and agree with you totally.
Exactly. This is why Bush’s halfass moderate plan of going into Iraq was useless. In war your goal is not to win friends, but to DESTROY the enemy, not try to understand it, or reason with it!
