I believe man-made climate change may be responsible for the suppression of sun spot activity. So there.
Nope. It would really suck. A mini-ice-age would not be a good thing. The only good thing is that Washington DC might freeze over. If everyone who lived there froze to death one day, the world would be a lot better off. (My apolqgies to the few decent people who do live there).
The warmers are already calling this a “speed bump” and are pointing out that one or two sunspots have been noted.
However, warmers won’t go away with small things, like real data and colder climate. I’ve come to understand that the global warming movement really has little to do with climate...its more about the spread of global socialism.
However, a little cold weather will certainly silence many of the arm-chair scientists that I’ve come across lately.
There is geologic evidence that the 11 or 22-yr sunspot cycle is of great antiquity. There are sedimentary deposits of various ages which contain annual layers; I’ve seen roughly 11-yr cycles in thickness of such layers in deposits at least as old as 370 million years. There may be older sedimentary sunspot records waiting to be discovered.
Global Cooling is NOT a good idea. The negative consequences for society of a cooling climate are FAR WORSE than those from a warming climate.
