firefox doesn't remove IE when it installs and it should still be on your machine and still work unless you purposely deleted it later. you can even run FF and IE at the same time.
goto start, programs and see if it's still there.

My IE locks up and closes down and wants to send a report to microsoft. If I open up on FR with IE, when I click on an article to read, it’ll lock up. Now all I can use IE for is for videos.

Is that the latest version? If it is, that’s when my problems with firefox started, when I downloaded the last version.

When hughesnet set up my satellite internet account, I had them work with firefox.
When I had IE I had dial-up and you know how that goes. Now when I use IE for you tube it shows I'm still with Bell South on the header and it's as slow as molasses in February.
I've reached a point where I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't concerning IE and firefox. I hate the fire fox I downloaded. Nothing but one headache after the other.

Is there a way to find out which version I’m running? I clicked on my firefox icon but it doesn’t say.

I’ve had more headaches lately than I can shake a stick at. If I weren’t so damned stubborn, I’d give up and take my tower outside and use it for target practice. :)

nope---FF 3.0, beta 4 here.
I found beta 4 to be the sweet spot of FF 3.0 for me, as I didn't care for B5 or the RC1 releases. There were just too many incompatable add-ons at that time.
I haven't d/l'd RC2 yet, thinking that the add-on developers will need some more time.
For sure though, FF3 is a better performer than FF2 (which I have used for years).
