That pre-cooked stuff at the store really is pretty good and not more costly. I guess the save on the packing and shipping costs (shipping is by WEIGHT and most of the weight is the fat that you cook off anyway)
It’s a scam. The fat is the valuable part.
Fry eggs in it; use it, with a moss wick, in oil lamps; make biodiesel out of it; use it to seal the tops of otherwise open containers of food, if you don’t have parafin wax; let it get slightly rancid, then use it to bait skunk & bear traps....
