Have you called Linksys? We have that same system and always have to go through them when we install a new one.... which has happened three times. One blew with some lightening, and yes, we have a surge protected plug. Another died within two months of purchase and they just gave us a new one. EAch time though, we had to go through them to get it to work.

We did contact Linksys . . . since out router was at least eight year old, they would not help unless we spent $32.95 for tech support. We would rather spend twice that much to get a new router.
