Aha - that's it!

You got a switch, not a router. It is not providing DHCP to your PC's. Which cable company are you dealing with? If it is one of those companies that only provides you one ethernet address, then this setup won't work for more than one computer at a time.

There ya go......That ain’t no router. It will not support a Dynamic IP. If one computer is downloading, the others must wait. The lady needs a router.

D-Link EBR-2310 Ethernet Broadband Router.

$40 at Amazon, or can be found for slightly more money at your local Office Max or Best Buy.
