Redwing fans not welcome at mellon arena

i couldnt find a text version of the story, but you can view the video of it, the gist of it is that detroit redwings fans cant purchase tickets for game's 3 and 4 of the stanley cup finals.

I didn’t see any mention of the false fire alarm going off in the Penguins hotel at 1 AM in Detroit,early Monday morning before the game.

Just some friendly Wings fans saying hi, I suppose.

That’ll change once they move the arena out of the city of Detroit. I haven’t been in Detroit in years, but I don’t blame anyone for not wanting to go down there after dark. I only get to see the Wings when they come out here and play in the Shark Tank.

Fire alarm at 1:30 a.m. wakes up Penguins players

DETROIT — A fire alarm went off at the Penguins’ hotel here around 1:30 a.m. today.

It proved to be a false alarm, but that didn’t prevent the players from being awakened when it went off.

It was not immediately clear whether the incident was a prank, although the Penguins deal with such things relatively often on the road, especially in Philadelphia.

“That’s one that we’ve gone through before,” center Sidney Crosby said. “I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.”

Perhaps, but the story didn’t end when the alarm was turned off.

Team officials said that about a half-hour later, there was a hotel-wide announcement that it had been a false alarm, effectively waking anyone who had managed to get back to sleep.

hasn't happened for a very long time idiot.,i work right downtown not far from joe louis and directly behind comerica park/ford field, and i grew up in detroit, i know that city,and you outsiders act like your towns don't have slums or bad parts, hell, pittsburgh aint nothin but low rent housing and steel mills, and thats fine, you dont see me bashing pittsburgh.
