YouTube also has the classic Buddy Rich vs Jerry Lewis drum battle as well.
In fact there are a lot of terrific drum pieces by great drummers on You Tube.

True enough, but who DIDN’T have bad hair in the 80s?
80s Ping!
RE: your tagline...maybe you like anorexic crack whores??
Actually, Amy WAS an attractive girl a few years ago...now, not so much.
No, Neal Morse. Morse was the lead singer/multi-instrument member of the progressive rock band ‘Spock’s Beard’ (He also was in ‘Transatlantic’). Gave his life to Jesus, left ‘Spock’s Beard’, which he formed with his brother, and went solo.
Morse’s solo work is great progressive Christian music and also include albums of Christian inspired folk music. Very talented musician indeed.

Oh, Spock’s Beard! I like them. Cool, thanks for the info.
You’ve heard of the Ozric Tentacles? They’re kind of Spock’s Beard-ish.
Morello, in fact, was instrumental (heh-heh) throughout the entire “Time Out” album, which explored all sorts of odd time signatures.
Gets my vote.
(If we were talking percussionists in general, I’d start thinking about orchestral ones, and might change my vote.)
Ozric Tentacles is another underrated group that incorporates many different styles in their music. Unfortunately prog-rock is put down by the âcool peopleâ as being pretentious. Don’t know why, I enjoy listening to different time sigs/changes and a blend of different forms of music (Not just blues based).
Yes, but they got cut off two thirds of the way through.
Victor is the bomb.
Danny Seraphine, Chicago’s founding drummer.
(Duh!)
Dave Barbarosa of Bow Wow Wow -- the guy is practically unheard of, but is brilliant. Listen to his work, I mean really listen to him, on I Want Candy.
Bun E. Carlos is great as well.
John Bonham, no doubt.
The classics: I'm a Krupa girl, all the way.
Concur. The Trees-Xanadu from Exit...Stage Left is a classic. Great songwriter as well.
Lars
Saw Journey recently. The guy that replaces Perry is very good. Heart would be worth the ticket alone....
Their loss, Sal. He was simply an amazing percussionist, as you know.
Right! Ed Shaughnessey (I’ll not quibble about spelling!) A great drummer, no doubt; just not quite in the “innovator” category I ascribe to (my) others.
I’ll add Art Blakey while I’m at it.
Yup. I’ve seen Neil in action many times, and just saw Stewart performing live a few weeks ago with The Police. Awesome.
