Banning Freon?

HA HA! You believe that?

Look, I have the inside dope on Ozone.

1) The supposed ability of Freon to deplete the ozone factor relied on Freon being release in the atmosphere....only here's some problems with that that were insurmountable.

a) Freon is much heavier than air - how will it get to the upper atmosphere?
b) The chicken-littles went on to say it broke down to chlorine and that chlorine in the upper atmosphere was the real culprit
c) Chlorine gas IS lighter than air
d) Where does the MILLIIONS of tons of chlorine added to our water and swimming pools go?

The real reason for the chlorine ban is that DuPont's patent ran out, so the price collapsed to < 2$ a can (from 14$).

DuPont lobbyists proceeded to vilify Freon.

Turns out DuPont has the *replacement* for freon - for 25$ a can and it's patented.

Got the picture now?
