I purchased the 7.5 and they offered the upgraded to 8 for free. It is the Internet Security 8 version. I like it and have had no problems. I have 2 computers so I purchased the 3-license one—can’t remember cost maybe $80.

Thanks again that helps to know. I'm running 2 GB RAM on XP so I can't see there being a problem. I do read product reviews. The ones with it making the machines run slugish sounds like low RAM to start with. I realize I might have to tweak a few settings for dial up too.

Spybot when running seems to be my heaviest user at 50% CPU while scanning. After it stops scanning I'm back in sigle digits with all normal background programs going.
