You have a point here, considering the fact that, in 1994, the Repubbies had a firebrand of a Minority Leader in Newt Gingrich. Today, we have nothing of the sort.

But the good news is that, in 1994, the MSM was still exclusively leftist except for Rush Limbaugh. Today, conservatives have a much better chance because of the multiplicity of ways that folks get their news.
