One time I was taking a walk in a neighborhood while dressed "defensively," that is, in my husband's very baggy, cruddy-looking, too-big jeans and a big oversized sweatshirt with hot chocolate stains on it. My hair pretty much resembled an electrified rat's-nest. When walking in neighborhoods, I usually dress down in order to be of zero appeal to weirdos. I've always exercised in part to keep my girlish figure (!) and in part because the smartest, most successful people I know nearly all exercise regularly because it keeps their brains sharp and priorities straight.

ANYWAY, I walked past a contstruction site for a house and a couple of the carpenters gave me a big wolf whistle! MAN, I can't tell you how that made my day!!! I was so flattered ... I smiled and bashfully waved at them, and I think THAT made them feel good, too!

I'm still trim, but at my age .. don't solicit many wolf whistles anymore! And my hair STILL looks like an electrified rat's next most of the time!!! Like right now ...
