Interesting story. From the main article:

> Hippos may cover up to 53 miles (33 kilometers) of water each night in search of food. They eat mainly the grasses along the shores of the rivers they inhabit, but they have been seen grazing up to 5 miles (3 kilometers) from the shoreline.

It’s a pity they screwed up the Metric/Imperial conversion because that’s no help at all: 53 Miles is much more than 33 Kms. it’s closer to 90. If I had to guess they got it backward, but you can’t tell really. 33 Miles is close to 53 Kilometers etc.

I saw this on TV, it was a very sweet story. I happen to think Hippos are cute in a chubby, waddley sort of way.
