I made a kilt years ago. I’ll have to look at a kilt to see which way the pleats go..A kilt is really nothing but a pleated skirt. It’s fairly simple. I need to get more tatan material, as I do want to make another kilt. This is material left over from the one I made. I gave it to my neice, she fell in love with it, and believe it or not, she still slips into it from time to time. I really think it was the beret that she liked, it’s gone, and she’s asked if I will make her another. Because I don’t know which isle we came from, I don’t know the top knot on the beret. We have 3 tartans, the dress, the modern hunting and the antique tartan. All beautiful, I think, but I’m biased.
I’m from clan Donnachaidh (sp) pronounced Donna-key. NO, NOT DONKEY!
I’ll share a secret (for all the world to see). I’m a Reid (birth name).
Reid shares the clan with Robertson, Duncan, Roy and just means “Red.”
Disclaimer: The poster of this post is not in any way related to Harry Reid, or Richard Reid - (that I know of). But I suppose we share a clan.
