Forget it. Having gone through a couple of these, it's all about the lumens baby and you want 2500 minimum. Low lumen units are only good in very low light (ie dark) environments. If you have a big theater room you want something that still looks good with lights on so you can play poker with your buddies and watch football at the same time. Or something else along that same vein.

Excuse my ignorance, but is contrast ratio equal to lumen's? I will need a new TV soon and have given great thought to a projector over a TV. I have only been a couple of places that even have projectors to look at.

How can you compare them if they are on a shelf and they won't even plug them in and demo them?
