The 3/8” group was with 55gr PSP... with a 1-in-10 twist, I wouldn’t expect it to remain stable beyond 300 yds... the other, even tighter group was with 62 gr BTHPs...

You know, of course, that you're making me green with accuracy envy. Other than plinking away at 50 yards on an indoor range, I won't be able to try any serious shooting until my AI arrives in September, and I join the Port Huron club with the 600 yard range. And maybe not even then.

My buddy, who's getting the identical type rifle, said to wait until the SHOT Show in January 2009, which he's going to do. He says he can get great deals there on the Schmidt u Bender 12-50 scope this rifle was made for. I could buy the same scope now, but the best deal I could get would still cost me more than my DPMS SASS cost.

There is no way my AR can match your AI in long range accuracy... but I’ll make the varmints tremble where’er I go...

Man... hard choice... but it might be werth it to wait until the shot show...

btw, mrsnad’s back... I’ve missed her...

They AR is sweet... I can’t believe the trigger... I’m itchin’ tuh sling lead...

what to name her?... Wilson?... Leg?... as in, it weighs as much as a leg...

That is some scope you’re getting. Looked it up since I wasn’t familiar with that one. Bet that one has some beautifully ground glass. Six hundred yards is right fur piece.

Been reading up on Trijicon, ACOG, Aimpoint, Eotech, Holosite, etc. and the like on a couple of message boards. Interesting discussions.
