How many times did you play “Rocky Top”?
Did you have salmon?
Heh...we didn’t, actually. The guy I bought the guitar from does a parody of “Fox on the Run”, which kind of falls along the same lines, I think. Instead of:
She walks through the corn leadin’ down to the river
Her hair shone like gold in the hot mornin’ sun
She took all the love that a poor boy could give her
And left me to die like a fox on the run
Like a fox, like a fox, like a fox on the run
He does this:
“I stand on the stairs, leading down to the cellar.
Wish I’d stood in bed, ‘cause this ain’t any fun.
My wife heard a prowler, I’ll prove I’m not yeller,
I’m here in my boxers and socks, with a gun!
In my socks...
In my socks....
In my socks....
With a gun!”
With harmony on the “in my socks” part, of course. ;-) The verses are pretty funny, too.
