We had a nice dinner out then tried to find a good place for karaoke. It was not a good thing to try to find here. We landed at one place and I can honestly say I haven't been that drunk in almost three decades.
SirKit is dealing with a hard drive that he can’t get his computer to read. He even tried it in Clare’s computer, which is made by the same folks, and should be compatible, but he keeps getting an error code which no one seems to know about. The manual says to call Lenovo, so he and Clare are fixing to do that.

Um no, I can see how you read that the wrong way.
WE weren't ~that~ drunk, but the people already there doing karaoke ~were~. We stayed for one drink and left.
If there’s ever another Entmoot, karaoke could be...interesting.
Mornin’. I gotta work a half day. Ungh. But in a way it’s good — no extra pay, but I don’t have to use as much vacation time, and I need all the vacation time I can get for next year.

Good Morning ALL - sixty seven wonderful sunny degrees here. Haven’t seen hide-n-hair of greycat this morning, but we do have a little black kitty hanging around. Showed up a couple of days ago, bout the same time some tenants got evicted from down the street. hmmm. wondering if animal control is working today. Should really check the gatepost for symbols or markings, they all seem to end up here.

Well, I'm glad they have a stopping point halfway across the country, so they aren't all trying to make their way here!

I’ve got plant repotting on hand for today...along with grilling, of course. Thought I’d make an apple/cranberry cobbler which will require vanilla ice cream. :)

Just read that Jesse Helms died early this morning. What a fitting day for someone who supported this country so much. Regardless of his social views as a young man, he grew into a much more tolerant man as he aged.
I counted 34 steps from the gate to the sunroom landing. I get tired just thinking about it!
I repotted and root pruned the ficus tree and I can’t decide whether to leave it outside in the shade for the rest of the summer or to bring it back inside.
34 you say, well, 17 weekends at 2 per weekend or only 8.5 weekends at 4 per weekend. Seems like a doable task. :-) Think of at as a long term goal, it’ll just a variable date of completion..:-)
