The HIGH for today here is only 63!
So much for global warming.....must be Bush's fault....
Hope you see the baby fox again. I have a fox that crosses my yard. When I take my Yorkie out at night I stay right by him.
[God finds a low branch for the bird that cannot fly.]

Good night Soaring Feather. Rest well.
Sparkling lights in the midst of darkness
As I wander the desert at night
There in its darkness is an abundance of light
With such a bright light the stars they do shine
With light from above that is so divine
Beaming light down all around
And lighting my pathway on the ground
In the midst of the desert where no city light is in view
Many stars make their debut
Light coming from stars that are so far away
Some of their light has been traveling for many a day
Light from stars that are now dead
At least that is what I have read
As I carefully and watchfully walk around
Eeriness abounds as the night is filled with a multitude of sounds
The coyotes wail a mournful howl
And a mountain lion lets loose with a ferocious growl
By the light of the stars many creatures can to be found
As snakes, scorpions and lizards and others run around
Life and death are therefore present in the middle of the night
And then dawn breaks and floods the desert with light
As the sun starts to rise
Other images appear to my eyes
The light from the stars have now disappeared from the sky
The mightiness of the desert returns under a clear blue sky
The nocturnal desert noises have ceased and the desert is quiet once more
And perspiration exudes from every pore
But no one cannot forget the deserts beautiful sight
When the desert sky exploded with sparkling lights that come out at night

NYA, excellent images. Very clearly you tell us what you saw, a desert collage of night scenes, complete with the sounds of desert creatures, melding into a new days dawn.
