I don’t take pictures..I depend on the talent of others.
There are 19 statues sculpted by Frank Gaylord of Barre, Vt., and cast by Tallix Foundries of Beacon, N.Y.
They are approximately 73” tall, heroic scale and consist of 14 Army, 3 Marines, 1 Navy, 1 Air Force.
.
Thank you, Kitty Mittens.
Meg, thank you for that picture of the gold finch. I feed about 100 of those beautiful little birds every day. They love the socks filled with thistle seed. They go through a 25 lb. bag every month.
I have five socks that I keep filled, right outside my kitchen window, and every sock is covered with those brilliant colored birds almost all day long.
It makes doing dishes much more plesant! lol
You're Probably Better at it than I am, Meg; I Do have a Wildflower Book at my Mobile Home in the Metroplex, but Need to Remember Exactly where I have it Stored, Lol. There are Several Flowers Here at the King's Ranch I would Love to ID!
The Mexican Hats Grow Beside the King's Pond, and Always Look So Beautiful in the Spring. : )
My visits were not bad. Will be total of 4 for the broken tooth.
The first visit they bonded the broken tooth to the teeth on each side. Then I had to go back and have the root fulled. AFter the gums healed, I went back for impressions and a temp.
Next week, I will finally get the bridge.
Good luck.
I am green with envy!
I’ve been to the Wall a couple of times.
It seems that I may have seen the one you posted (pictures or for real?). I was unaware it was part of the VietName Memorial. It is wonderful as are these figures for the Korean War Veterans.
I was in DC when they were working on these. Can you walk among these sculptures?
We will enjoy your BD gift where ever you get the images.
;^ )
And by the way..................Welcome BACK!!!
Thank you, Yorkie.
The poem with the music are a wonderful tribute for Armed Forces Day.
That bird is absolutely beautiful. It looks bigger than mine. Mine are very little...so cute. The male’s are a darker color, almost green. (That could be the female, judging other birds.) But the little bright yellow ones are just perfect with a little touch of black.
I have one feeder for the goldfinch and two feeders for the “wild birds” as they call them! I read about yorkie’s and gee, that thistle costs a fortune! I bet she does have a lot of birds because they will eat you out of house and home~~LOL~~Naptime, back is hurting. Spaghetti sauce has been simmering for several hours and I just cut it off for my nap!
I loved that, yorkie, even though I cried....it really touched my heart. Thank you!
Yorkie, I Empathize with you on Dentist Visits. (((((((Hugs)))))))
Yes, I’m curious! I can’t imagine anyone on Amy’s Place posting anything that would cause a banishment.
What a beautiful day you must have had, Meg!! Happy Belated Birthday!!
I know that I still have several pings to respond to but I have to leave for awhile.
I need to go to the PO and then hopefully deliver Get Well cards to Jim.
While in Fresno, I always run a couple more errands. With the price of gas, it is a must to combine trips whenever possible.
I think we are paying about $4.00 unless it has gone up since Saturday. :^ )
Be back soon.
And a Happy Belated Birthday, Meg!
