I have one those families that is actively putting their life on the line every day as an active duty officer. My husband's body lies in a National cemetery. I still don't like the whining.

Does that include whining about people whining? Until you do what they do - pick up and leave your family for 6 or 7 months at a crack; work 12 to 18 hours a day, seven days a week, for weeks at a time in 130 degree heat; live in a room with 45 other people while airplanes land on your head - then don't pass judgement on them. Maybe they've earned the right, both male and female, to complain a bit?
