I understand your statement, but it’s sort of hard to poll on something that’s never been discussed in detail. William’s is merely positing an idea. It’s up to leaders in a state to pick it up and run with it. Obviously, William’s article didn’t get much traction back in 2000, but the times have changed significantly since then and we’re headed for some very difficult times. Maybe the ground is a little more fertile for these types of discussions, that’s all. At the end of the day, a few states operating under true federalist principles, with all those difficulties is better than the absolute mess we have today.
OK, pick a state, any state, and poll the people about seceding. Quote all of Williams’ arguements. Let me know what you find out.
