I can attest to the Chows being stupid. had 2 of them at the same time and they almost can’t be trained.

My red doberman was super intelligent. Basic training for him was only 2 weeks.

But poodles? Come on. I’ve seen some really stupid ones.

The inability to train a dog has no bearing on their smarts. Chows are highly inteligent but will not submit to training.Even inteligent human beings question being trained to rolling over or fetching.

I knew a standard poodle that could climb trees. I saw him do it, and scare the crap out of a cat.

I had a German shepherd that was highly dumb and ate everything, including Barbie dolls, the sofa, and the fence.

My mini Doxie is super-smart, and even has a sense of humor.
