I've read the Bible a few times, and spend lots of time with it still. I not only believe absolutely that God gave it to us for our edification, I'm absolutely convinced that you don't know what the hell you're babbling on about. Have you ever tried reading the Bible with the starting premise that it is ALL TRUE but we humans just haven't figured out how that works? Take the fifth chapter of Daniel ... where was the rest of the being while the hand was visible at party central writing on the wall? Or take John chapter 14, how could Philip have comprehended the Physics lesson Jesus was giving him?
Christians who value the Bible as God's Word for us start with the premise that God cannot lie much less lie to us. Then, realizing we don't know precisely how the Bible is all true is easier to accept without generating doubt when confused.

I have also heard a lot of scientists say to start with their belief being right and all we have to do is fit the facts to their conclusion, even though we do not understand it yet.
How is your way of reading the Bible any different from a Darwinist way of learning science.
