While horse riding on an Oregon beach we spotted the torpedo shaped body of one of these squid. The body was about three feet long but there were no arms. There was however, a trail in the sand made by the legs as they crawled away. They made it about 150 feet. We found four of them like that that day. Interesting, eerie and funny all at the same time.

That was my thought also when I read the article. The whack jobs seem to never miss a chance to promote the tripe.
