I have to go searching in my garage and basement for the old VHS tape of the Conan O’Brien show from 1999(?) that had a segment making fun of McCain’s temper.
It was one of those where the mouth of a picture had been cut out and someones lips were positioned behind it, providing silly comments to the host. Both John McCain and Jesse Ventura were lampooned on this particular episode.
It had McCain’s picture next to a pith-helmet-wearing Viet Cong soldier named “Ho Duck Fo” (if memory serves), and the captor was berating McCain about his temper when they poked him with bamboo sticks while he was in a tiger cage during his captivity in the Vietnam War.
Does anyone remember this, or am I crazy?
The segment also had Jesse Ventura on a “straight talk express” rant about athlete’s foot being caused by the Jews and that deaf people just weren’t trying hard enough.
Someone, please let me know that I’m not the only one who saw this back then...
There is an old Saturday Night Live skit from I think from around 2000 where the Republican primary candidates is in a hotel lounge and there is a group of Asian businessmen laughing and McCain has a flashback of his POW days and goes crazy.
Someone should gather together all those old clips such as the one you are talking about.
