He is/was a very good actor. I saw Wings of Desire several times and he is amazing. Not a film for the masses.....a little too “heady.”

You can tell little from one photo. Given the source of the article, the photo was probably 'cherry-picked' as the most awful of the series and the story made up to fit the photo.
I’m thinking it might be a case of over medication. I have seen older people get that way.
