I'll keep it short, I was laid off last month.

Sorry to hear that. If its your first time then that's always the most traumatic. The only advice I can offer is to stay positive, stay busy and enjoy the springtime. Get all those projects done around the house that you've been putting off.

Or, come on over to Michigan, we're hir..............uh, better stay where you are you'll probably have a better chance of finding something.

Not the first time but financially it comes at a bad time.
Last time it was for three days and the employment sector here was much better.
