There's another side to Alicia Keys: conspiracy theorist.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter tells Blender magazine: "'Gangsta rap' was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. 'Gangsta rap' didn't exist."
Keys, 27, said she's read several Black Panther autobiographies and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck "to symbolize strength, power and killing 'em dead," according to an interview in the magazine's May issue, on newsstands Tuesday.

Pretty...but stupid.
Also, what is it with these half black celebrities (Keys, Halle Barry, even Barack Hussein Obama) who are abandoned by their black fathers, raised by their white mothers and, despite that fact, identify with the race of the parent who abandoned them?
Self loathing? Racial politics? Seriously. I don't get it.

She sounds like a mental patient.
"Gangsta Rap" is such a comedy it became a tragedy, plain and simple.

Self loathing? Racial politics? Seriously. I don't get it. C'mon, it's way cooler to be black than it is to be white.

Stunningly beautiful, great singer, and dumb as a load of rocks. Someone mail her some books to counteract the black panther hate filled drivel she’s been reading.

Another of her theories: The bicoastal feud between slain rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. was fueled "by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing." Evil or not, you really have to be impressed by the super-hero powers of us white folks.

There is a subsequent interview with her mom (her white mom, who raised her, worked multiple jobs to support her...give her music lessons, etc, but I digress). Anyhoo...mom, when asked about the 'assault rifle as jewelry' said...(paraphrasing) those, are here initials, but the 47 part?
Nice, ingratiating with the badboys talk, Alicia...new CD coming out? Jealous that Mariah got an hour w/Oprah yesterday?

So how is that different from gangsta rap? I mean, a gangsta rap song is nothing but a symbolic reference to strenghth, power, and killing ‘em dead.

As posted on another version of this story thread, if this was a govt & media conspiracy, it happened during the CLINTON administration and BEFORE Fox News.
