Here’s another fun way the gov’t “helps.” Say you owe $15k on a credit card debt. If you negotiate and settle the account for $10k, the gov’t says “Hmm, you just made $5k in income, please send me a third.”

-but if you shop a sale and get an extra discount for using the same credit card...they don’t. govt is intruding too much here.

i am sorry to hear about both of your tax woes. while we are ok this year, we have had some very bad april 15ths in our past.

once the Caps are out, and they will be sooner or later, i will switch allegiance to the Pens {pittsburgh teams are always close to my heart and in football i have ZERO allegiance to the redskins, so the stillers are my team}. and as for the Wings, Mik, xsboy says, they are not THAT good.

you know, i gotta say, jaromir jagr is still hot. even without that endearing mullet. i haven't seen him in a long time but saw him interviewed last week and he still makes my heart beat fast : )

i am not good at it. i have the latte, i was on the phone with xsteen, trying to deal with an email from the office about a case, and reading my freepmail and it was stressful for me. i can only really do one thing at a time, i am afraid. if i want to do anything well.

what is the wing’s backup goalie like? your $ may be skating on thin ice if you’re banking on the hasek!

so Bush is a closet "Catholic"?? OK. I suspect he just prepares himself for his meetings.....so he has read Papa Ben's writings. That makes him a boy scout - always prepared.

As the line I heard goes, the Red Wings have two fine goalies- Osgood and OsBetter...

After Hasek dissed Buffalo (who basically made him) when he left to join Detroit, I really wouldn’t care if the guy fell flat on his face. Chris Osgood is a none too shabby veteran, and if Detroit can limit their defensive brain farts he could do the job for them as well. I basically took the odds that the Wings wouldn’t choke for once in the playoffs this year.

And as to what xsboy has to say on the subject, “I was spitting out teeth on the ice when he was still spitting up peas in his high chair!” !>#
