I'm not sure I agree with you, Jane.
I've seen the Democrats fight like cats and dogs, here in Iowa, so many times. When the fight is over, they get up out of the dirt, dust themselves off, and join forces to take on the next guy, UNITED.
I hope YOU are right. I'm just saying I've seen them fight like this before in Governor's Primary races, and it doesn't necessarily have a negative impact on them when it's time for the General Election.
Do I think all this infighting is putting us in a better position than them? Absolutely.
Do I think it's enough to put us over the top? I think it's way too early to call.
In politics, 24 hrs is an eternity. So many things can happen between now and then. All it will take is one awkward statement by McCain, and they'll all be back on the same side.

Is there a lesson to be learned here? There was a lot of bitter in-fighting in the Republican ranks -- notably, right here. Many threatened to be stay-at-home voters. Can we UNITE?
