And it’s too early for the dandelions.

I should be so lucky!!!!!

Hubby is mowing right now, and all the pretty yellow (dandelions) and purple (clover) are disappearing real quickly........if it weren't for weeds I'd have no green outside :)

i have lived my life without ever touching a lawnmower to date :)

Good for you. I actually made good money as a teen during my summers in Florida cutting the neighbors' grass. But I do not do it anymore.

Hubby is perfectly happy tilling up more and more of our "yard" for crop field because that means less and less to mow :)

Don’t think of it as a lawn mower. Think of it as an outdoor Zamboni.

Those sound really interesting. I just dislike wearing gloves, for ANY reason. Gardening gloves and driving gloves are my most detested, followed almost immediately by rubber gloves. The latter, unfortunately are often a necessity for heavy duty cleaning and I will be donning them good bit in the coming days to re-clean the fryers at the Lodge. We’ve got a health inspection next week.

we don't own one. never have. when we lived in the townhouse there was no grass, just landscaped area. and our current house has a front yard that is at a 45 degree angle, and a riding mower would be dangerous. the lawnboys use the kind that they stand on the back of and do zigzags up and down to be safe.

i wouldn't think cutting grass with a riding mower would even feel like work!

Well darn, I guess we can’t accuse Hillbilly of being exanimate with the story of her line dancing that Fox just reported.

I don’t have a riding mower. My dad does, though. And it isn’t anything like doing real work. It’s like driving around the yard.

Our across the road neighbor’s riding mower is more like a small tractor. He and hubby were out on them talking together a little while ago. I went back out on the deck and just had to laugh at them. Farmer blue and farmer green — too funny!

I don’t own sandals. And I only wear black socks to funerals and job interviews. And Christmas and Easter Mass.

So, no. Shirtless is a possibility, but only if it’s really hot and I tend to avoid doing such things if it is really that hot.

OMG.......Obama: And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations. ......has he lost his MIND?
