DETROIT (AP) - Former Detroit mayoral Chief of Staff Christine Beatty has been ordered to wear an electronic tether and prohibited from leaving the state.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office says in a release that 36th District Court Magistrate Steve Lockhart changed the conditions of Beatty's $75,000 personal bond when she failed to give the court specific information about plans to leave Michigan to allegedly search for a job.

A leash?
Kinky!
She should be under witness protection.
Soooooo eeeee, pig! Whoops, wrong Beatty.
Wrong Beatty? I thought this was about Annette keeping tabs on Warren.
Westlander, this is big.
Is she also looking like a flight risk at this point? This doesn't look like someone playing ball with the prosecutor. Either it is an elaborate rouse, or she will go down will Kawame. Oops, I am sorry no pun intended....
I doubt it matters much if she spills her guts.
The mayor's only chance of staying out of jail is jury nullification.
She's likely being considered a flight risk, because they aren't offering her a deal, because she really doesn't have anything to offer.
She has even less of a chance of getting off the hook than he does.
