When did this whole gigantic sweet 16 party junk start? My coworker was going to take her daughter and one or two of her friends on a trip to NYC for her sweet 16. Her daughter said no, because if she couldn’t have the big party with all the frills she didn’t want anything. My coworker said, “Good! Less I have to spend!” LOL

Sweet 16 parties and prom night have become outrageously expensive, thank goodness I have no more teenagers

Back when I was a kid (and seriously, it wasn’t all that long ago, was it? Let’s see, 20th high school reunion letter. Yep, have to go kill myself later.)

Anyway, when I was a kid, we would get a “party” with 6 to 10 other kids, 4 or 5 large pizzas, 2 or 3 movies a cake and the parents out of the house until midnight.

What, $50 back then?

Good grief. These little spoiled princesses are going to crap a brick when they find out that they have to cover for Jose at the drive through when he needs a smoke break, aren’t they?
