Please pray for my dog: she's critically ill [Update: Daisy has passed away]

My beloved dog, Daisy, is critically ill. She has Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, a disorder that causes her body to attack and kill healthy red blood cells. Her blood levels are well below the normal/low range and her vet now has her in 'critical'. She will have surgery in the next 48 to remove a foreign object she ate- not sure its related to the IMHA at this point.

Sad update:

After a valiant fight against Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia, Daisy succumbed to her illness this morning. While her mind and spirit were willing, her body could no longer fight. I was with her when she passed, and she passed very peacefully. She is now reunited with her feline buddy, Whammy, and is surely chasing squirrels in Heaven, as she waits for me at the Rainbow Bridge. She was the most incredible dog I've every owned. She was my best friend.

Thank you to all who have offered their kind words and prayers during this difficult few weeks.

Sorry rintense, but if there is mercy in this universe, you will all be reunited whole and well and happy.

Instead of sending cookies, make a donation to your local Humane Society in her name. :) She was rescued from my local one at 13 weeks.

Thank you, everyone, for your kindness, compassion, and prayers during the past few weeks. The past four days have been very difficult, especially with the storms we had roll through today- I woke up and looked for her (she was afraid of storms), but she wasn't there. This time, she was in Heaven chasing the bowling balls. :)

I look forward to my next canine companion, but will never forget my first baby girl, Daisy. She was and always will be the perfect dog.

I was so saddened to hear of Daisy’s death. My pupster, Lola, and I are praying that you will find the peace that passes all understanding. I can not even begin to imagine your grief. I just love my 13 yr old Lola so much. she is my little child.

I can only feel that Daisy is in Heaven now. I have no idea of where Heaven is, but I truly feel that those we love so deeply and are so close to.....there is a spiritual bond that death and mortality can not break. If your love for Daisy is so beyond even words of description or explanation, then that love must be on another spirituality plane. She is now a Pupster Angel and is watching over you. Somehow , someway I am sure you will be reunited with her in someway, somehow, someday.

Until that time, know that she had the most wonderful love and life a furry person could ever have had.
