As a rule, if a person served honorably, his military service should be off limits for criticism. This simple protocol not only honors the service of those with whom Freepers might disagree on political questions, but it also avoids creating the appearance that modern conservatives are nothing more than pajama clad wannabees.
I see your point, but there is no one here criticizing. My point was simply that since so much has been made of the fact that Rev. Wright served as a Marine, and I normally grant a measure of respect to those who serve as Marines, I wanted to know what he did, as a Marine.
If it hadn’t been mentioned so much, I wouldn’t have been curious.
