It is probably one of the more profound quotes in that book - the concept that entire quote envelopes is what, I think, is the main fault with our political system.

On one side you have the liberals who want to control everything, on the other side you have the general populace (who, I think, still possess the spirit of our founding fathers, we just haven't had enough, yet) - but in the middle, you have the "moderates" working to get a compromise between us both.

Make no mistake about it, it's the compromiser who will sell us down the river, not the power hungry.
