This reminds me of the Big Foot hoax.

In Dallas there used to be the reported sightings of the Ghost of White Rock Lake Lady, who allegedly committed suicide and consequently spooked several SMU students over the years.

And not to be outdone, Ft. Worth students came up with the Goat Lady of Lake Worth who allegedly scared numerous dating couples.

I just love a good hoax.
